PURPOSE: A method for isolating SBA from remains and teeth preserved in the earth is provided to reduce reaction time, to enable automation, and to maintain DNA yield without a skilled researcher. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating DNA from remains and teeth discovered in soil for quick genetic fingerprinting comprises: a step of removing foreign materials from the surface of the remains and teeth, washing with sterilized distilled water 2-5 times, and drying at room temperature for 10-60 minutes; a step of removing calcium from pretreated remains and teeth using a mixture of 0.1-1M of EDTA (40 ml, pH8.0) and 0.1-1ml of formic acid; a step of isolating DNA and reacting with a DNA washing solution; and a step of performing STR(short tandem repeat) analysis.
