PURPOSE: A progressed watchdog device and an operation method are provided to increase reliability of serial peripheral interface(SPI) communication through watchdog signal communication including calculation. CONSTITUTION: An allocation specific integrated circuit(ASIC)(100) delivers a verification value which is randomly generated for watchdog communication. The ASIC computes the verification value by computation logic. A SPI communication unit(200) transmits the verification value delivered from the ASIC. A micro controller unit(MCU)(300) computes the verification value transmitted from the SPIC communication unit.
