Magnetic printing method and device for performing the method

The method involves applying magnetic ink (2) on a substrate (5), and bringing adhesive on the substrate into range of magnetization station. A set of magnetic field orientable pigments is contained in the magnetic ink. The magnetic field orientable pigments are allowed to extend into a design pattern (11), and imaging field lines of a magnetic field are aligned and fixed. A magnetic cylinder (3) is arranged in a printing unit (1). An independent claim is also included for a device for forming an image on a printing material.
