<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus in which the content of media session with a destination can be determined freely even if an SIP server imposes limitation on the description content of SDP, and image data can be communicated even when the apparatus is connected with a carrier network being premised on utilization only of voice communication. <P>SOLUTION: In the image communication apparatus 1A for transmitting image data by delivering a signaling message of SIP between a destination thereby establishing media session, an SDP header format compatible with the SIP server of a carrier being connected is stored in table X, the SDP header of a request message to be transmitted is described according to the SDP header format stored in the table X, and the information about a media session being requested actually for the destination is described in "s" field not served by the SIP server in the SDP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
