<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum insulation pipe capable of shortening vacuuming time and maintaining high insulation over a long period of time, and a superconductive cable equipped with the vacuum insulation pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum insulation pipe 1 is a double-structured pipe 2 comprising an inner pipe 21 and an outer pipe 22. The part between the inner pipe 21 and the outer pipe 22 is vacuumed. A gas absorbing material 3 is provided between the inner pipe 21 and the outer pipe 22. The gas absorbent material 3 is equipped with a getter material capable of absorbing gas, a case for vacuum sealing the getter material, and a breaking member for breaking the case by deforming at a predetermined temperature. When the case is broken by the breaking member and the vacuum-sealed state is released, the getter material absorbs the gas existing between the inner pipe 21 and the outer pipe 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
