A BALLAST WATER TREATMENT DEVICE WHICH USES THE PHOTOCATALYST

PURPOSE: A ballast water sterilizing apparatus by using a photocatalyst is provided to efficiently sterilize a ballast water by forming hydroxyl radicals that are generated from the photocatalyst. CONSTITUTION: A ballast water sterilizing apparatus by using a photocatalyst comprises at least one photocatalyst sterilization board(10), a binding member, and a fixing frame(30). The at least one photocatalyst sterilization board is disposed in a sterilization chamber(1) and formed as a net to ease contact with the ballast water circulating in the sterilization chamber while not disturbing a flow of the ballast water. The at least one photocatalyst sterilization board is formed of a photocatalyst. The binding member binds the photocatalyst sterilization board to prevent dislocation of the photocatalyst sterilization board caused by friction between the photocatalyst sterilization board and the ballast water circulating in the sterilization chamber. The fixing frame binds with the binding member to firmly fix a position of the binding member. An outer periphery of the fixing frame is in contact with an inner periphery of the sterilization chamber. The fixing frame has a circular hook shape.
