PURPOSE: A 3D user interface method and a settop box using the same are provided to determine a method for displaying image content which is reproduced through EPG information, thereby converting a UI according to the determined display method. CONSTITUTION: An EPG(Electronic Program Guide) analyzing unit provides a method for displaying corresponding image content to an API(Application Program Interface) calling unit(S422). The API calling unit calls 2D or 3D component APIs of a system module by the method(S425). The system module provides an API calling result(S427). The API calling unit requests a UI object to a UI providing unit(S428). The UI providing unit provides 2D or 3D UI objects to an image processing module(S429).
