PURPOSE: An inclination detecting apparatus for an elevator is provided to correct the inclination of an elevator only by making passengers move their positions while checking the inclination of the elevator through an inclination detecting apparatus installed in the elevator. CONSTITUTION: An inclination detecting apparatus for an elevator comprises a transparent plat(4), a center display part, and a gravity weight(41). The transparent plate is fixed on the inner ceiling of an elevator car(1a) to see through inside thereof. An inclination display part is formed on the transparent plate to let the inclined direction of the elevator. The center display part is formed on the center of the transparent plate. The gravity weight is installed on the outer ceiling of the elevator car and is positioned right above the center display part of the transparent plate. The gravity weight measures the inclination of the elevator car.
