<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that stably controls nip pressure on a roller pair with a simple configuration at a low cost, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a roller pair 30 that comprises a pair of rollers 17, 18 arranged in parallel to form a nip N; and adjustment means 50 that adjusts nip pressure through operation of a pair of operation levers 45a, 45b provided on both end sides of the roller pair 30 in the axial direction. The adjustment means 50 includes: a first operation body 51 that performs a first operation in conjunction with a first operation lever 45a; a second operation body 52 that performs a second operation in conjunction with a second operation lever 45b; and one detection means 53 that detects that the first operation and the second operation have both been performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
