HIGH PRESSURE GAS TANK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure gas tank capable of inhibiting gas release noise caused by gas which has passed through a tank liner.

SOLUTION: The high pressure gas tank 1 is a tank in which a fiber-reinforced resin layer 3 is formed on an outer periphery of a tank liner 2 by fibers impregnated with thermosetting resin being wound around the outer periphery of the tank liner. The fiber-reinforced resin layer 3 includes an inside layer 3a formed on the tank liner 2 side, and an outside layer 3b formed on an outer periphery of the inside layer 3a. The inside layer 3a is formed as a dense layer, while the outside layer 3b is formed as a layer which is less dense than the inside layer 3a by forming a larger number of airspaces therein.
