PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch, wherein an unnecessary signal is prevented from being outputted at the time of switching off a power source. SOLUTION: The optical switch comprising: a plurality of input channel optical waveguides 4; a plurality of collimator lenses 5; an input side light deflecting element 2A; a slab optical waveguide 7; an output side light deflecting element 3A; two or more condenser lens 8; and two or more output channel optical waveguides 9, is configured so that the collimated light emitted from the plurality of collimator lenses is propagated to an area which does not propagate the collimated light into the output channel light waveguide 9 while the input side and output side light deflecting elements 2A, 3A are not driven.
