The rotary slide valve has a housing (33) with an inner chamber (48), which is connected with an external by two through openings (36,38). A rotary valve (50) is incorporated in the inner chamber rotatble around an axis, and the rotary valve is designed with a channel (52), which connects the through openings with each other in an open state of the rotary valve and separates them in a closed state. One of the two through openings is separated from the inner chamber and the channel by closing in the closed state of the rotary valve. An independent claim is included for an exhaust manifold module with an exhaust manifold.
