An apparatus for outputting image data capable of setting N-up function and a control method are provided to offer a customizing N-up function to a user by setting up a border and an edge and changing the attribute of a type and style thereof, when printing out multiple pages on the only one sheet. An apparatus for outputting image data(100) offers a function for printing out a plurality of pages on a single sheet. A GUI(Graphic User Interface) creation unit(162) creates a user interface for setting attributes of a border between multiple pages. A border creation unit(164) creates the border applied with the attributes. A driver control unit(166) converts the print data which is corresponded with the multiple pages and the border data, into a printer language. The attribute of a border comprises a border style which is selected one from group consisting of a line, a bit map and a character. |
