<p>A ratchet fixed in relation to a governor pulley is placed in a space between the governor pulley and a concentrically provided movable base, two hooks for engaging and disengaging a claw portion of the ratchet are placed in the space between the governor pulley and the movable base, and two rotary solenoids for driving the hooks are provided on the surface of the movable base opposite the surface where the hooks are placed. When the descent speed of a governor rope reaches or surpasses a predetermined speed, the energizing of the two rotary solenoids is cut off, the hooks and ratchet are engaged, a shoe rod is pulled by the rotation of the movable base, the governor rope is placed in sliding contact by a brake shoe, and braking is accomplished. Modularization of a governor apparatus is thereby made possible.</p> |
