The invention relates to a suspension system for a ski (1) or a snowboard (1). A binding plate (2) is movably mounted at both ends approximately parallel to the upper face of the ski (1) or snowboard (1) by means of bearing holders (5, 6) and is spring mounted by a suspension element (4). At least one end of the binding plate (2) is connected to the bearing holder (5) or (6) via a lever device (3). The lever device (3) comprises, as viewed from the side, three pivot bearings (11), (12), (13) that are rigidly connected to one another and arranged at an angle a to one another, the pivot axes A1, A2, A3 being oriented perpendicular with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ski (1) or snowboard (1) and parallel to one another, wherein the pivot bearing (12) forms the apex of the angle a with pivot axis A2. The binding plate (2) is pivotably connected to the lateral pivot bearing (11) that moves furthest inside the two bearing holders (5), (6). The suspension element (4) is pivotably connected to the ski (1) or snowboard (1) at one end and to the other lateral pivot bearing (13) at the other end.
