An ultraviolet light irradiation device (100) is provided with: a process tank (1) the inside of which can be filled with water to be processed; an inflow means (18) that supplies water to be processed into the process tank (1); a discharge means (19) that discharges the water to be processed from the process tank (1); an ultraviolet light source (23) that irradiates the water to be processed within the process tank (1) with ultraviolet light; and a lighting means (25) for the ultraviolet light source (23). The lighting means (25) has a cooling part, and the process tank (1) is provided with water pipes (32, 34) that are connected with the cooling part (33). The lighting means (25) is water-cooled by circulating, as a coolant, the water to be processed (W) between the process tank (1) and the cooling part (33) via the water pipes (32, 34).
