PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ALKALI-FREE GLASS

A production process by which an alkali-free glass reduced in bubble inclusion and highly homogeneous and flat can be obtained. The process for alkali-free glass production comprises melting raw glass materials comprising silica sand and a boron source and forming the melt, wherein the boron source is one which comprises 10-100 mass% boric anhydride (in terms of B2O3) based on the boron source (in terms of B2O3).
