PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having reduced in weight and improved in high-speed durability while sufficiently securing vulcanization stretch. SOLUTION: A band cord 10 is an organic fiber cord 20 which is composed of organic fiber filaments f formed of the same raw materials. The cord is formed by twisting two or more dip strands 22 subjected to dip stretch processing K together with a bunched filament 21 composed of the organic fiber filaments f which are bunched and primarily twisted. A stress-elongation curve of the band cord 10 has a low elastic region S1 ranging from an original point to an inflection point P and a high elastic region S2 ranging over the inflection point P. The inflection point P has an elongation of 1-7%. A ratio EH/EL of a modulus EH in the high elastic region S2 to a modulus EL in the low elastic region S1 is 2-10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
