PURPOSE: A rotary cylinder is provided to maintain a pause state for a long time in a load state by applying back pressure with an external control device and to rotate over 360 degrees by applying larger stroke than a lead of a screw part. CONSTITUTION: A rotary cylinder comprises a body(1), a rod cover(2), a cover disc(71), a driving shaft(7), a screw part, and a piston(3). The body has a stroke same as or larger than a lead of a screw part. The rod cover is coupled to the body by bolts. The cover disc is coupled to the rod cover by bolts. The diving shaft is inserted in the cover disc and comprises a spline shaft(73) and a protrusion(72). The screw part comprises a male screw shaft coupled to the body by a coupling disc(41) and a female screw part(33) of a piston rod coupled to the male screw shaft. The piston is coupled to the body and the rod cover and integrated with the piston rod.
