PURPOSE: A locking device for a waste can is provided to be conveniently used to arrange a lock at the top of a cover and preventing it from arbitrarily being opened. CONSTITUTION: A locking device for a waste can comprises a locking unit(20). The locking unit comprises a base member(30), a lock(36), a locking member(40), and a stopping plate(41). The base member has a fixed part(31) coupled to a movable handle. The lock is arranged in a housing(34) coupled to the base member. The locking member has a locking part(43) that is capable of sliding and being inserted into a housing. The stopping plate is coupled to the locking member to have a stopping part(41) whose front ends is stopped on a flange part. A locking groove(44) in which a clasp of the lock is inserted is formed in the locking part and a sawtooth part(44a) is formed on one side of the locking groove. |
