PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for printing ink soluble in alcohol without reducing physical properties such as adhesiveness with a plastic film and a printing ink and blocking resistance when used as the binder for printing ink.SOLUTION: There is provided an alcohol soluble binder for printing ink containing an urethane prepolymer by reacting a high polymer polyol and a polyisocyanate compound under solventless system and a polyurethane resin obtained by reacting a chain extender under an alcohol solvent, where the urethane prepolymer is manufactured by reacting the high polymer polyol and polyisocyanate with a molar ratio of an isocyanate group (NCO) and a hydroxyl group (OH) in a range of NCO/OH=2.4 to 3.2, amine value of the polyurethane resin is 5.0 to 15.0 mgKOH/g and the alcohol solvent has the ethanol content of 60 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
