PURPOSE: A pickup control device is provided to control the voltage supplied to a sled motor and to supply stable current to an optical disk drive from a power source. CONSTITUTION: A pickup control device(30) includes a sled motor(31) and a servo control unit(32). According to a predetermined voltage control signal, the sled motor performs a seek operation of a pickup(13). The servo control unit generates the voltage control signal to move the pickup to a target track. The voltage control signal has available vector amount.
