<p>PURPOSE: A lighting device and a driving method thereof are provided to regularly maintain the current of an LED module by controlling the current of the LED module. CONSTITUTION: A lighting device comprises a voltage source(10), a control part(20), an LED module, a drive part(40) which controls the LED module according to a control signal, and an interface part(50) which delivers a user command to the control part. The drive part comprises first and second switching parts(41,42) for controlling the current of the LED module, a gate drive part(43) for driving the second switching part, and a current controller(44) for controlling the first switching part. The control part is connected to the voltage source and drive part.
