PURPOSE: A controlling method of a regenerative braking system is provided to control the brake power according to the regenerative braking without adding an electrochemical apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of a regenerative braking system comprises: a step of obtaining values about the SOC(state of charge), brake oil pressure, velocity and gear level of a vehicle; a step of calculating target deceleration and acceleration by using one or two more values of the obtained value; a step of calculating current deceleration and acceleration velocity by using the velocity, and comparing the current deceleration and acceleration velocity with the target deceleration and acceleration; and a step of conducting regenerative braking by using the compared result.
