[Class 66] The cover of a milk pail is formed as two dished discs 1, 2 secured together by bushes 6, 18, and at their outer edges, the inner discs 1 being shaped to provide a depending flange 1a with no sharp corners where dirt could lodge. A check valve 7 has a lug 9a on its housing 9 registering with a recess in the pulsator 16 so that a single locking-screw 10 holds the pulsator and housing 9 in place. The milk valve 17, 18 is cylindrical and allows air to enter at either of its two " off "-positions so that teat-cups may readily be removed. A fixed, arched handle 12 on the lid has a hook for the teat-cups and is notched to receive the outer part of a bail handle on the pail (not shown in Fig. 2).
