摘要 The method involves performing acquisition of an optical signal of a diffusing medium (20) and a fluorescent marker (22) by interaction of the medium with radiation e.g. radiation in infrared, of a pulse radiation source (8), where the acquisition includes time components of interest, due to the marker, and a spurious component due to the medium other than the marker. A multidimensional array is formed from data of the signal. The array is processed by factorization into a product of only two non-negative multidimensional arrays. One time component is extracted from the non-negative arrays. An independent claim is also included for a device for identifying an optical marker in a diffusing medium.
