METHOD OF MANUFACTURING VEHICLE INTERIOR MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a vehicle interior material by which the warpage of a holding member and the circumferential base body is suppressed.

SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing the vehicle interior material provided with a flexible base body 1 and a holding member 2 (side clip, retainer bracket or the like) provided in the surface of the base body 1 to attach the base body 1 to a vehicle panel, wherein the holding member 2 is formed by injection molding for injecting a molten resin (polypropylene resin or the like) into a recessed part 3 with a mold 200 having the recessed part 3 abutted to the surface S of the base body 1 and a part corresponding to the edge part of the holding member 2 in the base body 1 is compression-deformed to form recessed in the thickness direction by the mold 200 to carry out the injection molding. The recessed amount of the base body 1 by the compression deformation is set to cancel the warpage amount of the holding member 2 by the shrinkage of the molten resin when the molten resin is cooled to form the holding member 2.
