<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing foam metal that can produce foam metal at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing foam metal includes steps of introducing a molten base material (metal or an alloy) into dies 1, 2, and mixing gas into the base material; then opening the dies 1, 2 to enlarge the internal space 3 of the dies 1, 2 to generate bubbles 14 in the base material 13; and cooling the base material 13 formed with the bubbles 14 to produce foam metal having the bubbles 14 by foaming in the base material 13 made of the metal or alloy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
