<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which certainly removes wax so that double-sided printing is available without bad influences from wax attached to transfer means which transfers a toner image formed with wax added toner to an image carrier, to improve the image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image carrier 50 for carrying a toner image Tz formed with wax w added toner; conveyance means 73 for conveying a recording medium S; and transfer means 70 which forms a transfer nip part 74 in a position in pressure-contact with the image carrier 50 and which transfers the toner image Tz carried by the image carrier 50 to the recording medium S conveyed by the conveyance means 73. The image forming apparatus is characterized in comprising: heat means 76 for heating the transfer means 70 to a melting temperature of the wax w; and control means for controlling so that an area K of the transfer means 70 with which the recording medium conveyed by the conveyance means 73 is contacted is heated by the heat means 76. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
