FIELD: textiles, paper.SUBSTANCE: material made from natural fibers is dissolved using alkali, without the application of mechanical stress and washed and/or dried if necessary. For dissolving the alkaline material selected from the alkali metal hydroxide, an alkali metal carbonate and alkali metal phosphate is used. The resulting fibrous material is characterised by high strength and low wear. The fibrous material is used in the composite material where the polymer introduced into the fiber structure can be an additional component.
