<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing a user to identify image quality in each region of a reconstructed image generated based on an acoustic wave signal. <P>SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition apparatus for acquiring characteristic information in a subject using the acoustic wave signal output from a detection element detecting an acoustic wave propagated in the subject includes: a characteristic information acquisition unit for acquiring the characteristic information in each point of interest in the subject using the acoustic wave signal; an accuracy information generation unit for generating information showing a difference in accuracy between the characteristic information using acoustic wave detection information as a condition relating to the detection of the acoustic sound wave; and a display information generation unit for generating display information capable of identifying a difference in accuracy between the characteristic information using the information showing the characteristic information in the each point of interest and a difference in accuracy, and making a display unit display the display information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
