The seating and lying system comprises a seat arrangement with a backrest (20), where the backrest has a backrest unit (12) with a seat cushion (28). The seat arrangement has a seating unit (14), where the seating unit has a seat body (24), and is movable from a sitting position to a fallback position. The backrest unit has two backrest elements, which forms the parts of a couch deck system in the fallback position of the seating unit. The seating unit is mounted on a base (10) by a bearing assembly.
