<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket capable of preventing the deformation or breakage of an electronic device such as an electronic component package, when the electronic device is connected to a terminal contact unit. <P>SOLUTION: A socket 100 stores an electronic device 1 on which an electronic component 2 is mounted and having, for example, a case 4, in a cavity 10 defined by a body 101 and a cover 102. The body 101 is provided with a pedestal 113 on which the electronic device 1 is placed, and a probe pin 115 as a terminal contact unit connected to a terminal 5 of the electronic device 1. The cover 102 has a first head 121 connected to a cover upper member 120 through a spring B1, and a second head 122 connected to the first head 121 through the spring B2. The first head 121 presses a peripheral edge portion of a circuit substrate 3 of the electronic device 1, and the second head 122 presses an upper wall surface 4a of a case 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
