The percussion device has a hammer tube (12), a paddle (14), a striker (16), a control disc (18) and a brake disc (20). A braking air cushion (22) is provided between the paddle and the striker. The control disc is formed integrally with the brake disc. A sealing gap (24) is formed in relation to the hammer tube and the striker. The control disc is provided with a pin through which a hole ring (28) and a control case (26) are mounted.
