<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesion improver capable of attaining sufficiently high adhesive strength to adherend of various materials, and a resin composition containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The adhesion improver includes a resin having phosphoric ester group or phosphonic ester group, the phosphoric ester group being a divalent group represented by formula (1) and the phosphonic ester group being a divalent group represented by formula (2). [In formula (1), R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>each independently represents divalent organic group, and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>represents hydrogen atom, aryl or 1-10C alkyl].
