A backlight unit is provided to achieve uniform brightness regardless of a position of a backlight unit by forming a power inserting screw between lamps and disposing the lamps up to an edge of the backlight unit. A plurality of lamps(65) include external electrodes(67), and are disposed on a cover bottom(62). A common electrode(69) is connected to the external electrodes, and supplies a voltage to the lamps. A power inserting screw(70) is formed at least one position between the lamps, and fixes the common electrode on the cover bottom. An inverter supplies a voltage to the common electrode. The common electrode and the inverter are electrically connected through a cable. The power inserting screw connects the common electrode with the cable. |
