PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device that enables image processing at an arbitrary position including a change in a camera height.

SOLUTION: An image input device has: a camera main body 77 photographing a subject; a housing 2 installed on an installed surface; an arm part 71 supporting the camera main body 77 tiltably, and being supported by the housing 2 swingably in a vertical direction; a tilt detector S having first and second acceleration sensors S1 and S2, and detecting a tilt of the arm part 71 and the camera main body 77; and a controller calculating height distance information L from the installed surface to the camera main body 77 on the basis of the tilt detected by the tilt detector S and dimension information of the device, specifying a type of a subject to be photographed by the camera main body 77 from the calculated height distance and the tilt of the camera main body 77 detected by the tilt detector S, and executing image processing suitable for the subject of the specified type.
