The cooling device has a unit for circulating an air flow (8), where the air cooled by a cooling element is guided over the goods area (24) in an insulation tank (1,2) of a food counter. Another air flow (7) is guided upwardly through an air guiding element (5) in the goods area, opposite to the cooling airflow. The latter air flow is guided in the direction of the goods display, and is diverging to the cooling air flow. The latter air flow has a higher air velocity than the cooling air flow, where the guiding element is formed by an arrangement of the tube profiles.
