<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device and an image formation method which can perform S/N ratio deterioration restricted removal of compound colors on high resolution images. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup device 100 includes a pixel array part 111, a readout control part 112, an estimation arithmetic part 200 and a compound color removal processing part 210. The basic block of color filters in the pixel array part 111 is M<SB POS="POST">x</SB>×M<SB POS="POST">y</SB>pixels. The readout control part 112 sets an addition unit of N<SB POS="POST">x</SB>×N<SB POS="POST">y</SB>pixels differing from the M<SB POS="POST">x</SB>×M<SB POS="POST">y</SB>pixels. The readout control part 112 performs weighted additions by setting addition units which are shifted while being superposed to acquire a plurality of low resolution images. The estimation arithmetic part 200 estimates high resolution images on the basis of the low resolution images thus acquired. The compound color removal processing part 210 performs removal processing on compound colors arising from the estimation of pixel values of high resolution images from the plurality of low resolution images and those arising from the addition of pixel values of plural colors by weighted additions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
