<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a super-multi-parallax image. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes a light emission source, a light modulation unit, a first controller, and a display unit. The light emission source emits light. The light modulation unit generates information light that is determined by a plurality of positions and emission angles corresponding to the positions by modulating light for each pixel contained in a unit pixel region of image data that is displayed with unit pixel regions each containing at least one column of pixel sequence among pixel sequences formed by dividing the whole pixel region into multiple pixel sequences. The first controller controls an optical path of the information light to guide the information light to the unit pixel region.
