<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an influence of noise upon performing HDCP authentication. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication processing execution unit 5 performs HDCP authentication on only an output apparatus supporting HDCP on the basis of predetermined information (apparatus information), and does not perform HDCP authentication on an output apparatus which does not support HDCP. The apparatus information is input by an operator via an apparatus information input unit 3, and it is not necessary to acquire the apparatus information by accessing each output apparatus D<SB POS="POST">11</SB>, ....
