<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-refrigerant heat exchanger capable of easily removing impurities that exist in a water channel, and to provide a heat pump water heater having such a water-refrigerant heat exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: The water-refrigerant heat exchanger for heat exchange between water flowing in the water channel and a refrigerant flowing a refrigerant channel is provided with a member that has a portion of a wall surface defining the water channel, a member that has an opposing part opposed to the portion of the wall surface, and a fixing means that fixes the member that has the portion and the member that has the opposing part.
