PURPOSE: A method for molding a sheet molding compound for low-specific gravity and fast curing is provided to save a painting cost by reducing the number of molds. CONSTITUTION: A method for molding a sheet molding compound for low-specific gravity and fast curing comprises following steps. A hydraulic press for producing sliding doors is pre-heated. Materials for the sliding doors are cut. The cut materials for the sliding doors are inserted and set in a mold of the hydraulic press. The materials for the sliding doors are pressed by the hydraulic press so that inner and outer panels(12,11) for the sliding doors are manufactured. The inner panel is assembled to the outer panel so that the sliding doors are manufactured.
