PURPOSE: A Japanese keyboard and a Japanese input system are provided to correspond to an alphabet and Japanese, thereby supplying a simplified keyboard layout. CONSTITUTION: A display unit includes a vowel unit(100) including a first selection key to a fifth selection, and a consonant unit(200) including a sixth selection key to a twelfth selection key. When one selection key or plural selection keys included in the vowel unit, and the consonant unit is combined and selected, a controller generates a character. The controller delivers character information to display the character.
