An air fuel ratio limiting compensation system of a diesel vehicle and a method thereof are provided to minimize generation of black smoke by controlling the amount of injection fuel suitable for the operation condition of an engine. A diesel vehicle includes a control unit and a particle purifying unit(100). The control unit performs a torque restricting control by entering a limp recess mode when a disorder is detected in the vehicle. The particle purifying unit collects particle materials discharged from an engine(10). The control unit performs the torque restricting control at a target air fuel ratio corresponding to the current engine rpm in the case of entering the limp recess mode according to the detection of withdrawal of an intake manifold hose. The control unit weakly controls the torque in a high rpm region with a large amount of suction air, and strongly controls in a low rpm region with the small amount of suction air. |
