PURPOSE: A water culturing method for an ice plant is provided to apply different salinities in a nutrient solution for each development, thereby maximizing the content of the functional materials in an ice plant. CONSTITUTION: A water culturing method for an ice plant comprises the following steps. Prepare a seeding groove or a cut-out part in a urethane sponge. Sow a seed of ice plant in the groove, germinate the seed in the urethane sponge through the absorption of water, and the temperature of the water is maintained at 20-25°C. Culture the germinated ice plant with water or a nutrient solution for 2-5 days, and raise the seedling aged 15 days from the sowing day until the seedling has 4-5 leaves. Add 0.4-1.2 wt% or 0.8-1.6 wt% of salt to the water or the nutrient solution, and plant the ice plant at 20-28°C for 65 days from the sowing day. The planting is divided into the first planting lasting approximately for 15 days and a second planting. The second planting makes the spacing among ice plants broader, and lasts for approximately 30 days. |
