PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for receiving broadcast stream are provided to program multiple functions in advance and to omit transferring an application performed through a broadcast stream. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for receiving broadcast stream receives a broadcast stream(S401). The apparatus extracts key information and additional information from the broadcast stream(S402). The apparatus selects one among predetermined multiple functions based on additional information(S403). The apparatus performs a selected function in response to the control signal of the key information(S404).
