Method for measuring the thickness of organic coatings on metallic base materials

The layer thickness of organic coating of a sample of metallic basic material is measured. The organic coating of sample of metallic basic material is removed by dissolving in acid bath with ultrasonic treatment. The layer thickness of metallic basic material is measured. The difference of measured layer thickness of organic coating of sample of metallic basic material and layer thickness of metallic basic material is calculated.
