The lamp structure has a light-permeable cover (4) which is provided with primary planar light emitting surface (42) having normal surface (N1) in x direction, and secondary light emitting surface (44) having normal surface (N2) facing in y direction. The primary planar light emitting surface and the secondary light-emitting surface are separated by an edge portion (46). The light radiated from the LED exits the lamp over the primary planar light emitting surface. The light radiated from the LED produces a drop shadow within the edge portion.
