PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning a handle of a shopping cart is provided to easily clean a large quantity of shopping carts in a short time by automatically cleaning all the sides of a handle while successively moving the large quantity of the shopping carts. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cleaning a handle of a shopping cart comprises a main frame(100), first and second brushes(200,300), a turning arm(420), a turning shaft(430), a brush driving part(400), and a water cleaning part(500). The first brush is arranged across a gap between the left and right vertical bars(110) of the main frame. The second brush is arranged at the bottom of the first brush in parallel. A second spur gear(320) of a second brush shaft(310) of the second brush is rotatably engaged with a first spur gear(220) of a first brush shaft of the first brush. The turning arm connects the ends of the first and second brush shafts to integrally turn the first and second brush shafts at a predetermined angle. The turning shaft penetrates the top of the turning arm. The brush driving part rotates the turning arm on the turning shaft in a vertical and longitudinal turn for the first and second brush shafts. The water cleaning part sprays cleaning water to remove the foreign materials on the cart's handle.
